  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 1½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, brown sugar, softened butter, all-purpose flour, egg, and almond extract until just blended.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry into an 11×11 inch square and cut into twenty-four 2×2 inch squares. Press each square into a mini muffin pan to form cups.
