  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3 tablespoons barley tea

  2. In the same pan, sauté onion in remaining grease over medium-low heat until translucent (8-10 minutes).
  3. Stir in diced apples and cook until softened (4-5 minutes).
  4. Add minced garlic, brown sugar, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, chili powder, and crispy turkey bacon; mix well.
  5. Briefly remove from heat and stir in barley tea before returning to low heat.
  6. Simmer for about 10-12 minutes until thickened.
