Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 2/3 cup warm water
  • Pear
  • Pearl onions
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Thinly sliced red onion
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Coarse salt
  • Olive oil (a few tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Whisk together, then add warm water and mix until shaggy. Cover and let rise overnight (at least 12 hours).
  2. The next day, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Drizzle olive oil in a casserole dish and transfer risen dough into it, spreading to fit.
  3. Dimple the surface of the dough with your fingers and drizzle with more olive oil. Let it rest for another 2 hours.
  4. Decorate with rosemary as branches, pear slices as the trunk, and cherry tomatoes as ornaments.
  5. Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
