  • 1 large apple (peeled, cored, and chopped into small pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add vanilla and mix well.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with milk until smooth.
  6. Mix chopped apples with brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  7. Layer half the batter into the pan, followed by half the apple mixture; swirl gently.
  8. Top with remaining batter and apple mixture; sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar topping.
