  • Kosher salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1/3 cup apple juice (or barley tea/chicken broth)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with kosher salt and pepper and place them in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine apple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, and minced garlic; pour over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 3 hours.
