  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz rotini pasta (uncooked)
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese (freshly shaved)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. In your crockpot, combine chicken breasts, minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and chicken broth. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  2. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and return it to the pot. Stir in parmesan cheese, heavy cream, and uncooked rotini pasta.
  3. Cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes or high for about 15 minutes until pasta is tender.
  4. Sauté breadcrumbs in butter until golden brown for topping.
