  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2/3 cup butter, cold and divided
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in 1/3 cup cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into a lined baking pan for the crust.
  4. Evenly layer pecan halves on top of the crust.
  5. In a saucepan, melt remaining butter with brown sugar over medium heat until bubbly. Stir constantly for one minute.
  6. Pour the hot caramel mixture over the pecans and crust.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top; let sit to soften.
  9. Spread melted chocolate evenly across the bars.
