  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (toasted)
  • For the Glaze: 1/4 cup unsalted butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp milk, 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Toast chopped pecans on a baking sheet for about 5–7 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients without overmixing.
  5. Fold in toasted pecans.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Cool cookies on wire racks while preparing the glaze by melting butter and brown sugar; stir in milk and whisk in powdered sugar.
