  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pastry for double pie crust
  • 23 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare your pie crust by lining a 9-inch pie plate with the bottom layer.
  3. In a large bowl, mix sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and lemon juice until well combined.
  4. Spoon the apple mixture into the prepared crust and dot with butter pieces.
