  • 1 pound large shrimp (thawed, peeled, deveined, tail-on)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • ½ cup hot honey (homemade or store-bought)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk at room temperature for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot to 350°F.
  5. Fry shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes each until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and drizzle with hot honey before garnishing with parsley.
