  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked Turkey Bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce: In a skillet, brown ground beef and sauté onions until soft. Add minced garlic, marinara sauce, crumbled turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the béchamel: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour for 1-2 minutes, then gradually add milk while stirring until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the lasagna: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses until ingredients are used up, finishing with cheese on top.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
