- 1 lb frozen gyoza dumplings (vegan)
- 1 lb heirloom tomatoes (mixed colors)
- 1 English cucumber
- 5 scallions
- 1 red chili pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup basil leaves
- 3 Tbsp Tamari (low sodium)
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2–3 tsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish (or crispy fried onions)
- Garlic chili sauce
- Steam the frozen gyoza dumplings according to package instructions. Toss with a teaspoon of sesame oil to prevent sticking.
- In a bowl, whisk together Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup for the dressing.
- Slice heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, and scallions; add to the bowl with steamed dumplings. Mix gently.
- Tear basil leaves over the salad and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or crispy onions.
