  • 1 medium white onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 80ml apple vinegar
  • 500g tomato passata
  • 240ml beef stock
  • Fresh basil and oregano
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 6 crusty white rolls
  • Butter
  • Parmesan
  • Parsley
  • Mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan; sauté diced onion until golden. Add diced garlic and cook briefly.
  2. Brown the ground beef, then mix in tomato puree. Pour in apple vinegar, stir in passata and stock along with herbs and seasonings. Simmer for about 25 minutes.
  3. Hollow out the bread rolls and brush with a mixture of melted butter, garlic paste, parsley, and parmesan.
  4. Cook spaghetti until al dente; drain without rinsing. Combine with the sauce.
  5. Fill each roll with spaghetti mixture and top with mozzarella.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes until crispy and cheesy.
