  • Optional: 4 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea or 4 black tea bags
  • Honey or sweetener of choice

  2. Add cinnamon sticks and split vanilla beans (or their alternatives) to the boiling water. Turn off the heat and cover.
  3. Let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  4. If using black tea, add it now and brew for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  5. While steeping, heat the milk in another pot until warm but not boiling.
  6. Strain the infused liquid into the warm milk.
  7. Sweeten with honey or your preferred sweetener; stir well.
