  • 45 apples (cored and sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • Dash of lemon juice (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter or coconut oil (melted)
  • 3 tablespoons apricot jam (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch tart pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and chilled vegan butter until crumbly. Add sugar and cold water gradually until dough forms.
  3. Roll out dough on a floured surface and transfer to the tart pan, pressing gently into edges.
  4. Toss apple slices in sugar and cinnamon, then layer into the crust.
  5. Bake for about 70 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly, then glaze with melted apricot jam mixed with lemon juice.
